Editorial policy
Rural Talent Journal aims to make rural skills and working knowledge clear without overstating what a general article can establish. We value accuracy, context and plain language.
Accuracy and care
We check factual claims against suitable information before publication and make the limits of an explanation clear. Articles are not a substitute for qualified instruction, local requirements or professional judgement, particularly where work could cause injury or damage. We do not invent expertise, testing or first-hand experience.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for relevance to readers, not to promise favourable coverage. We distinguish description, interpretation and opinion, and we do not present a contributor's view as an established fact.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or a passage that needs clarification, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and the point at issue. We review correction requests and amend published wording when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.
Partners and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise partnered material is clearly labelled so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where this applies, the illustration is identified as AI-generated. Illustrations are not evidence that a task or object has been tested.
Know-how grows through careful practice
We look at rural skills with curiosity and respect for the experience behind them. Our aim is to explain what can be learned safely from ordinary tools, materials, seasons and shared traditions.
